What is Laundrywatch?

Laundrywatch is an online application that allows users to see the availability of laundry equipment in any connected Laundryserv supplied laundry room. It shows whether machines are in use, available or offline. For those washers or dryers that are in use it also shows how long is left on the cycle. This application can be accessed via any computer with Internet access.

Why is it requesting the installation of Silverlight?

You need to have the Silverlight application installed on your computer to see the graphical representation of your laundry room. This is a Microsoft application which is similar to Adobe Flash, and is perfectly safe and free to install.

Simply click on the install Silverlight application icon, and it will load automatically and should take less than a minute to complete. Should you not wish to install Silverlight or be unable to do so, you are still able to see the status of the laundry equipment via the standard view further down the page.

Why can’t I find my laundry room?

Not every Laundryserv supplied laundry room is connected to the Laundrywatch system. Therefore if your site is not listed in the drop down menus this feature is not available for your site.

What does available, minutes remaining or offline mean?

Available means the washer or dryer is not currently running a cycle. In Use means the machine is running a cycle and the standard view shows you how long is left of this cycle. Each machine connects to the Laundrywatch application every minute to update the system with its cycle progress. Offline means that the system has detected a fault with the machine, and an engineer has been contacted to facilitate a repair.

What does “top up my laundry card online” mean?

If your site uses Laundryserv’s Smartcard or Smart Key Fob system to pay for use of the laundry equipment, you can now add laundry credit to your card via our secure online system using Paypal or a credit or debit card. This means you can either use your sites standard top up system of visiting the card top up station at your site and using £5, £10 or £20 notes or you can do it from the comfort of your home via your PC.

I’ve lost my Smart Card or Fob

New card/fob to be obtained from the reception/lodge. Account must be updated with the new card/fob number before carrying out another top up. Credit cannot be transferred from the lost card.

I haven’t received my 16 digit number email

Firstly, check your Junk email folder. If it’s not there, log onto your internet account and check the ‘top up history’. If you’re still having problems, between the hours of 8am & 5pm call service department and quote card number. During out of hours fill in the ‘can we help?’ form on the website.

I’ve forgotten my user name

Between 8am & 5pm call the service department and quote card/tag number. During out of hours fill in the ‘can we help?’ form.

Where can I find my Laundry Card number?

This is printed on your Smart laundry card or Smart laundry key fob.

Wrong Site Code/Fault Code

Details and card/tag to be left with reception/lodge to be reset by the engineer.

My pin number isn’t being accepted

Check if previous pin numbers have been used. Double check numbers have been entered correctly. If these don’t work, between the hours of 8am & 5pm call service department and quote card number. During out of hours fill in the ‘can we help?’ form on the website.

The tumble dryer didn’t dry my clothes

Ensure the dryer has finished by pressing the start button as the tumble dryer may have been opened and the cycle has not been completed. Contact the service department and advise location and machine number.

How do I report a problem with a machine?

The Laundrywatch system is a smart system that automatically reports any machine problems back to Laundryserv and requests an engineers visit. However should you need to contact Laundryserv for any reason, please call us on 0121 565 6262 or email us on enquiries@laundryserv.co.uk

How can I reduce my washings impact on the environment?

Laundryservs washers and dryers contain features that minimise the use of resources such as water and power. However you can also help by reducing the temperature at which you wash, as this reduces water and electricity useage further. Many detergents now only need a wash temperature of 30°C to work effectively, and some work on lower temperatures than that, so try choosing a lower temperature wash combined with such detergents.

Make sure you only use the amount of detergent you actually need, overdosing just adds more contamination to the watercourse and doesn’t get your clothes any cleaner.

When using a tumble dryer, make sure the lint filter is clean before you start the cycle, as this will make the dryer faster and more efficient reducing electricity requirements
